Title: Small oil on board,sig' id?

Only 3.5 by 4.5 inches,Istanbul I think,?1,can't find any known artist with those initials,presume a talented amateur,do a bit myself might start again one day,waffle,waffle,should get out more,

Nothing wrong with wanting to paint!  I'm bidding on a set of water colours at the mo.  Haven't painted with water colours since doing A-level art - a life time ago, but need to do something creative :bh:

I did have a website link for artists in that part of the world and further east.  Will see if I still have it.

Worth a lot more than ?1 I'm sure :art: :tup3:  Well done.

That's rather nice Keith. You might struggle to identify the initials, but a useful (but not free!) site for signatures is this one: http://www.artistssignatures.com/index.php - I don't know what their costs are as I've not needed to use them so far.

Maybe try here -- http://www.artnet.com/Artists/ArtistIndex.aspx?alpha=E1 this is a list of artist names ending with the letter *E*.  Maybe scroll through there and see how many first names you can find starting with the letter *F* and then see if you can find any sample signatures on those name.

The pic is of Istanbul?  But maybe the artist was not from there ?????  Could be from anywhere - I guess

Just a suggestion with the names above...
