Title: Korosten Lusterware from Ukraine Russia.

I believe this piece to be Korosten from Ukraine Russia. It measures about 3.75" tall by 3 1/8th"  wide at rim. My question is what was it used for?

Possibly used to hold condiments/preserves with a hole for the spoon ???
Or used as a pomander ???
