Can anyone tell me anything about this lion, i think it's metal, spelter?

If it's spelter it will be a coating over a silvery metal, so in an inconspicuous place underneath test it with a sharp point If it shows silver it's probably spelter, if it stays the same colour it isn't.

Oops, it's not metal, it must be chalk or resin as it's white underneath.
