Gift Craft - Japan
« on: February 16, 2009, 07:45:06 PM »
I got this, and I know I have had others items with this label, and mark.  I did find some info on it, anyone know the date?  TIA

Did find this link:  http://www.kaboodle.com/tarzansgirly/majolica.html

So what is exactly considered to be Majolica?  Please advise...

I'd say so, yes. It certainly has the detail typical of majolica and the glaze looks right. Datewise I'd say '50s.

** Second update here of other items found **

I have found some *more* pieces to match these larger vase.  Smaller version of the vases.  So now a total of 6 matching pieces of this design.

Also is it Gift Craft (2 words) or Giftcraft (one word).  So many different spelling on the Net??  ???  The label makes it look like one word, so if title needs to be *tweaked* go for it.

** Also not trying to be a Hog here tonight, but so behind on my pics here (plus could not sleep).  Now with Fall here (and cooler evening...Br-r-r- tonight), maybe I can get caught up on my stuff.
