Canadian Pottery - But What?
« on: February 16, 2009, 06:36:08 PM »
Have this lime green dripped bowl.  It is marked CANADA and with the letter DM and 79.  Now I am assuming that 79 might be the year, but I guess it could be a mold number too.  All I really know is it is marked CANADA - but have no idea.  Glaze drip reminds me of other Canadian pottery, but not in this lime green color.

Any Idea?  :hlp:  :)
Every flower that has ever bloomed, had to go through a whole lot of DIRT FIRST......:flowers2:

Hi Rose. It could be a mold number. Is it incised into the clay because it looks like it might be scratched into the glaze, possibly by the decorator. Could be a student piece on a pre-fired blank?
If you always expect the worst you'll never be disappointed.
