Italy? or a name on this mug
« on: February 16, 2010, 04:20:39 AM »
Hi again, sorry if this is posting twice I'm still kind of new to this. I wasn't completely sure that this was marked Italy since it is in hand and seems to have a production numer. I also am not sure of what this type of glaze or pottery is called. If anybody could help that would be great.

Eli

Hi and welcome to the board. ITALY written like this is seen on a lot of Italian ceramic ware so is hard to pin down to any maker without looking further at the whole piece, and possibly not even then! Fingers crossed someone will be able to help you though. :)
Cheers!

Hi there:
How tall is it?  5 inches?  Is it a MUG, or a pitcher of sorts.  Always good to give some measurements along with a post.  Do you have only one, or a set?  As sometimes an another piece (in a set) might have another mark on it...

I do know that I think it looks LOVELY there on your counter.  It really matches your tile there.....and I would be using it to hold some teaspoons on the counter (for handy grabbing)- as it looks so nice there on your counter..

See the other post where I posted some other samples of Italy too....

Sorry about the measurements. 7" tall and 3" wide. Unfortunately it is the only one I have.
