railroad sign ?

I have always wanted to know more about this like age and what it was used for.

Hmmm now that could be interesting as, according to this website: http://fortmyervamemories.com/welcome.html "South Post enjoyed only a brief 30 year existence, from about 1940 to about 1970."  If you contact the site's webmaster and send a copy of your photo he may be able to tell you about the sign, and may be glad of a copy of the pic for that site too.

Thanks I sent them a picture. Nice find . I thought it had something to do with the railraod like a train station.
