Cannot decifer signature
« on: September 15, 2010, 01:57:46 PM »
Sat here thinking of all sorts of variations and tapping them into Google in the hope something would come up but nooooooo,  looks like a "thorpe" at the end, was thinking Dunthorpe or Anthony's and there is also a letter at the beginning which is too faint for me to read

Hi cookiebella,
There was a St Anthony's Pottery in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Amazon has a booklet - 'St. Anthony's Pottery, Newcastle upon Tyne: Joseph Sewell's book of designs' published by Northern Ceramic Society and Tyne & Wear Museums (1993) ISBN-10: 0950964689 .

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Fi
