Arts & Crafts 'tea-glass' holders
« on: April 06, 2011, 01:31:50 PM »
Hello, strangers!  Long time no post  ;D

I thought I might have asked about these before, but I've had a quick look through my previous posts and can't see anything about them, so here goes:

These copper and brass 'tea-glass' holders in Arts & Crafts style have an impressed mark on the base.  I've tried to find any websites with metalwork marks, similar to the sites available for pottery marks, but so far with no luck.  Does anyone either recognise the mark (I'm not sure which way up it should be viewed, by the way, which doesn't help  :-\ ) or know of a site where I might search for it?

Thanks  :kissy:  Leni  xx

:o Oooh!  Now you turn it that way, I can see an ostrich!  Could it be an early WMF mark?  ???

:D  Looks like it to me!  :gcheer:  Wow! ;D  Now I'd better nip over to the GMB to see if people there think the glasses actually belong with the holders or not  :-\  They don't look 100% right to me, although they fit very well and have been together as long as I have owned them.

Thank you for your help, Keith  :kissy:

Leni  :)
