Geoffrey Godden, porcelain expert – obituary-  born February 2 1929, died May 10 2016

Quote
Geoffrey Godden, the ceramics specialist, who has died aged 87, was an author, historian, collector and dealer; but to the public he was best known for his expert valuations of fine – and not-so-fine – china on BBC Television’s Antiques Roadshow.

To us he is known as the author of the definitive work on Porcelain Marks.

I have his book on 18th century English porcelain here. A sad loss to the antiques world.
