Lovely, and one of many paintings Inger Waage made for Stavangerflint.

And this one talks about Bambus (Bamboo in English) design
Although the site is in Norwegian, the most interesting paragraph for me was this one which (via Google translate) states the following facts:

"The decor Bamboo was designed by Inger Waage for Stavangerflint around 1955. But in the brochure there is no information about the dishes, except for the model number. The sides marked with blue border are model Utstein by Eystein Sandnes. The tableware was first produced in 1955. The second tableware is illustrated on the sides with red border. It is a ovenproof dishware, which was also designed by Eystein Sandnes. It's called Flamingo (for flame - flame)."

Read the whole page here: http://www.matslinder.no/2017/06/14/bambus-reklamefolder-fra-stavangerflint/

It strikes me that using a blue border for non-oven/flame proof wares and a red border for flame proof wares is such a smart visual aid!
Cheers!

Came by this dish or fruit bowl, not the usual Tulip pattern. Signed by Inger so it seems...

Here are two of my pieces of Stavagerflint.
A large dish in their "Kontiki" pattern designed by Inger Waage and a small vase.
I love their designs.  They are ageless.

I've misspelt the name under the pictures :-\ It's been a long day!

It is quite handsome, but has some damage and is just on display in the kitchen - where it can't be touched, just in case :x-fingers:
