Rooke Pottery
« on: September 23, 2007, 07:24:29 PM »
In an antique and collectibles mall today I found another Bernard Rooke Pottery vase! :gcheer:

However, while there's a label on the bottom saying "Bernard Rooke Pottery The Mill Gallery Swilland Ipswich Suffolk Tel. Witnesham 460"  the initials which I think I can see (they're very faint) on one side look to me like FR not BR  ???  So I've emailed Felix Rooke again to ask if it's possible that the vase is his work, rather than his father's.

I'll let you know.  Watch this space .....  :D

I have just received a reply from Aaron Rooke.  He says: "This piece was designed by Bernard and at some stage worked on by Felix. There are some pieces that also have Aaron Rooke or AR on them . These date from 1985 -7."

:)  Thank you to Aaron for clarifying that.
