Unknown Tile...?
« on: January 20, 2008, 08:21:47 AM »
Hi, I bought this today one lonely tile for 49 cents.  Looks like it was on a wall once, as there is like a compound on the back.  Must have wanted to keep it, as then someone glued little pegs for a counter pot protector.

I could not make out the back, but when i took the pix, it actually shows up better...but still can't make it out.

Looks like VALV_____ ?

Any ideas?

It think it's Ceramica Valverde SPA, try to google this and you'll find some information.

Address given  here for CERAMICA VALVERDE SPA includes Castelnuovo Valsugana and the word across the bottom looks like it starts with Castelnu... so I think it looks like a good match. :)  The website for Ceramica Valverde redirects to http://www.ariana.it/ so perhaps they've been taken over... ?
Cheers!

So what is the age do you think....I thought it looked a bit older, not new...but I do not know.  Or is this one lonely tile newer?
Thx
