Topic: Money box of all kinds

Perhaps collectors out there will show their own collections of money boxes?

Let us start with this.  

From Gustavsberg in Sweden and the year 1905.

Oh what a great idea, yes, I have a few - not many, and nothing special I guess, but I'll add them as soon as I can find the camera and take some pics. It's somewhere in the depths of my office!

But also many, many others from all here.  

One more, a pig, also from Gustavsberg and same year. It has walked a long way as you can see at his feets, but never mind after 107 years...

My little collection of money boxes - all cats.
Needless to say, they are empty!

Tall blue one = "Chinese Blue" - Jema, Holland.
Smaller blue = possibly made by Jema. Just has HOLLAND impressed on base.
Red cat = Ernestine, Salerno, Italy.

Anne E.B. - your second, blue cat is very in style Bitossi. Can you tell about it?

And here some other moneysavers.

1. A swedish red shoe from Gefle about 1915.

2. A nice dog in style as of from Staffordshire, but maded in the faiencefactory Tillinge i Sweden, by danish potters from Bornholm (a danish isle). Same ones and other animals have been made there too, and the origins is from England.

3. Two though ducks, with same history as above. C:a 1890-1900.

The second one does look Bitossi like.  I have a collection of Bitossi Rimini Blu and both of the blue cat money boxes look quite at home with it, especially the second one which is nearer in colour to the Bitossi pieces that I have.  The Jema cat has an inscribed pattern which probably can't be seen clearly from the picture.

I'm rather curious about your Staffordshire style moneybank, did they make them in plain white as well, I have one stored away somewhere.
