Figurines
« on: September 01, 2007, 06:30:35 PM »
I just wondered if anyone could help with these figurines.
Marked on the bases with "N" and a crown, a bit like "Capodimonte" marks but gold rather than blue.

As ever, grateful for any help!

I hate to say it, but they are so poorly modelled, I think they may be modern Chinese with spurious Naples marks..

What is the quality of the body like Robbo?  The base rim looks very clean - is it showing any wear at all?

Thanks Lynne & Pip.

There's a little wear on the base rim but not much. When I bought them I thought they were a bit better than most of the figurines I see in charity shops but the more I look at them, I'm not so sure! The painting is pretty poorly done.

I've just noticed one of the leaves is chipped too. Fortunately they where only 99p :pbag:

It was one of those days when I buy everything in sight with no discretion ;D

At 99p it doesnt matter what they are so long as you like them it's a result!
