Highly glazed baluster vase.
« on: September 02, 2007, 12:13:23 PM »
Hi all,

I know that Lynne and Tony have seen this one before and gave me a good few tips and leads, for which I am eternally grateful, but I am still at a loss and not yet found out where it originates from, so I thought that I would post it here.
28cm in height.

I apologise for the terrible pictures, but it is so highly glazed that it is just acting as a mirror. At least you can't see me in the pics that I have posted.

Any information will be greatfully accepted.  ;D

Hi Sue,

I am not sure, they kind of look like 180 or 189, then the clearly marked 28, which will be the height. I think that we decided that it was bat-printed (ta Lynne), definitely not a transfer print, and the scene is of a castle (with a decidely German/Belgian look) and swans on a lake. It has a gold rim, lots of craquelle/crazing and a very treacle-like glaze.
