Topic: Hey I bought lots of unknown 'Ugly' stuff...

Heya all,

Okay, its catching..I have 'ugly vase' syndrome!! I bought 4 ugly things...pics of 3 here...Kev one for you!!

Okay little Jug marked underneath WGermany 587 Pale blue with gold speckles, white drippy bits..gold edge, brown inside..fat little thing, measures 17cm to top of handle.

Just under 22cm handled urn vase thing..surprise..orange and brown!! No markings, one small chip on base and its actually growing on me.

I will add the other thing another time...its a Beer Stein with a metal lid marked Austria underneath and a weird sign on it. Also has Austria written on it, grey and well....UGLY.

I'm with Christine, the jug isn't ugly at all.  I'd give it a home here.

Okay...I like the shape of the jug..I like the handle..the spout..its lovely, chubby base..but I dont like the wishy washy colour...

Wow a Trudy found a Truda jug hehe.. I didnt do too bad then for a total novice. um Tooheys...blech yuk..definitely not the beer Id drink.

Thanks for the info..I actually have something identifiable..what about the orange urn thing? Just a generic thing?

Oh and the little jug will be on ebay...I have to support my glass habit. Now if anyone had a glass frog that I needed..or a jadeite bowl that I need..hehe..

No about the beer stein, doesnt look valuable, looks like a touristy thing..I'll take a pic...

The urn and jug were found at the same charity shop..along with a signed Kosta glass mug..id'd on the glass board as V. Lindstrand Nice art glass ashtray, wedgwood...all donated on the weekend.

Now I notice everyone was sticking up for the jug but no-one disagreed that the canisters and urn werent ugly..hehe.

And here's the stein..complete with a good pic of the mark.
