This is the 'Homemaker' pattern by Ridgway, I have yet to see another with a yellow base.

There's no backstamp but the lid fits perfectly.  :-\

There's a mention on Retroselect of a rare yellow colour. It's been months now and I haven't spotted a yellow one, just the odd black one here and there.

At last, I have found a yellow one, only it's not the same...  8:)

I wonder if it's yellow underneath.

I suppose it's possible that you have a Homemaker lid but a Ridgway base from another range

It's funny you should say that as I received a polite email from Simon Moss (Book: Homemaker, a 1950s Design Classic) saying just that, it's a marriage.

All I need now is the bottom half. I paid about £2 for it so no worries.  ;D

If your lid is in good nick it's probably got resale value because they're the bits that get dropped
