This George V penny is almost blank on the reverse. I'm not sure if it's wear and tear or a misprint? You can just make out Brittania in the centre.

I would say it's just been ground down for whatever reason - look at all the scratch marks

I agree with Christine, but why someone would do that i dont know.

It looks like someone's been trying to sell it as a missprint, it would up the value a lot. There are more scratches on the edges for some reason.

Casting aside the fact that the one side is blank, would the other side be described as fair condition?

Tony, if you ever find a penny dated 1863 and it has a little number 5 below and between 18 and 63, let me know as i would like it as a gift
