L & L, W.M.....Brass--Scales of Justice.....???
« on: February 24, 2008, 10:54:46 AM »
Hi I kinda bought a brass scale, similiar to this Ebay.co.uk = 180215979843 but mine has more prisms on it, and a bit different (but you get the idea till I get a photo as I just got today)....

Anyways it does say on the back 9137 and then looks like L & L, W.M (C ??) on it.....and I found this page where everybody is asking the samething on this page about this company:
               http://antiquesandthearts.com/forumresponse.asp?var=859&var2=14

Then I did find another Ebay listing saying the company was from New Jersey, and their brass thing was from 1912, and that this company went out of business in 1960......BUT that seems to (maybe just a bunch of hot air) cuz me, and a zillion other people can't seem to find info...

So you get the idea of what I have, and as soon as I get a pix, will post, but in the meantime -- any ideas....???

I think the 'c' copyright device (if that's what it is) would date it to 1950+.

What kind of stone is that on the bottom -- is that a black marble?  I have not found much on it either, but I LIKE IT...

The crystals are glass, as they are very, very heavy and ting when you hit them.  Ahh the scales of Justice....lol
