That photo was part of my collection from years ago, all sold (or chucked).

I think I remember seeing the 'dolphin' design on old canisters in Millers somewhere.

I believe the Hornsea cruets are in the 'Alpine' pattern, I sold them long ago ?6-8. I think I remember a complete set on the Antique's Roadshow priced at a whopping £100, eh? I also saw a Leonardo crown shaped teapot priced at £100, eek.

I tend not to buy stuff if it's damaged, however, I make the exception if I think it's unsual or it's extremely cheap. In this case, both. It was only 50p.

lol.... me too -- and why not.  I bought that Canadian Danesi  http://www.yobunny.com/pottery/index.php?topic=10582.0 just for the bottom mark, since I had never seen the mark.  It was cracked too.  I buy, even if cracked when they have a unique mark I want to figure out.  I do it in the name of (trying) to research.... and for the GALLERY MARKS
