American - Treasure Craft
« on: December 29, 2008, 08:27:15 AM »
Hi I got these over the holidays.  One is a brown ashtray, and the other a cactus candy (?) dish.  Both marked Treasure craft.

Found this site:  http://www.myantiquemall.com/AQstories/treasurecraft/TreasureCraft.html
and a similar cactus: http://www.mygrannysatticantiques.com/html/treasure_craft_pottery.html

There is also a book about Treasure Craft by Schiffer  books to those interested in this kind of pottery.

The ashtray is presumably souvenir ware, Rose. Maui being one of the Hawaiian islands of course. 8)

Perhaps we should create an album for Treasure Craft pieces in the Gallery?  :kissy:
Cheers!

I could do that - as I have some more BMP to add to the gallery too.  So I can add, or start a treasure craft section too...

I will try to do that later tonite... ;)

Rose, to make it an album where anyone can add images to (as others may have Treasure Craft pieces as well) I've made it as an open album here: http://www.yobunny.com/pottery/Gallery/thumbnails.php?album=31 - if you create it as a user album under your name then only you can add to it. :) Have fun!

BTW, do you want an open BMP album as well?
Cheers!

DUH.....  :thd:

I never knew that.  Still learning something new  ;D everyday.  See you can teach an old  :dog: new tricks.

Sure - does not matter.  I was not sure, and since I have so many BMP now that I thought you just make a gallery of it, to sort of hold all your pictures here - as then I could still delete some (?) off my computer, and still have (sort) of a master gallery of my pieces.  Or should I not delete my own pictures here on my computor, as the gallery pictures are always there right?

OR if I got one of those Flash things (got one for the Kid to put his loads, and loads of pictures on it) then I could just put all my (posted) pic on there after I have posted them here......right?
