I believe some of the older Irish coins are worth a bit(few quid that is),I've a number of foreign banknotes about and a few pennies as you can see
bit dusty, they are under the computer desk.

Whaaar! Treasure tin!
I had a closer look at those scribbly coins and they are Egyptian (the sphinx on the front of two of them might also be a giveaway). Number 29) 5 Piastres, 1950's, Egypt, is making ?5 on ebay, woo!
Number 11) United Arab Emirates is ?3.80 - ?6 on ebay.

I have a misfit USA (1960) penny here. Appears to have been made that way -- with a flaw

Crikey, that's a serious collection you have there Rob! I have some too - but no photos of them as yet - though none of mine are as old as yours.

The only coins I have now are Roman coins.
I used to have a large coin collection, but it all got lost in a house move a very long time ago and I never found the time to start a new collection.
You have a very nice collection there Rob.

Roman coins, i could only dream of finding those.
People interested in collecting modern coins should check out these links....

I've got a few of the olympic 50p coins and the other specials like suffragettes, Benjamin Britton, etc. Nothing particularly worth much at the moment (just above face value).
And of course this very small gold coin which i dug up at the beach (which you've all seen before), worth ?30-40 i think...
