This second Cumbrian Ceramics exhibition is again the largest collection of Cumbrian potters and ceramicists that has ever been put together. It is representative of many of the professional potters in Cumbria today, many with national and international reputations and also includes work by some of the newest ceramicists in the County. To date there are over 35 confirmed participants whose work ranges from sculptural to domestic pottery.
The exhibition will run from the 19th November to the 10th January. The preview will be on the 18th November and include a fund raising event (empty bowls donated by the potters to be filled with either soup or sweet and a silent auction of donated pots/ceramics) in aid of Marys Meals.
Among the potters represented are Roger Lewis, Annie Peaker, James Hake, Maggie Angus Berkowitz, Rebecca Callis, Syl Macro, Mary Chapplehow, Gwen Bainbridge, John Kershaw, Chris Barnes.
