Large studio vase to identify!
« on: August 02, 2007, 10:22:02 PM »
Hi All

I've had this vase for several years and I haven't been able to identify or read the mark, any clues would be much appreciated.

Great to have a new online forum, if anyone needs help with identifying early English porcelain it's one of my favourite topics so I would be happy to help.

Hi, do you think it might say "DaEnzEr"...?

That seems to be a Germanic name and the pot does look like it might come from that sort of area.

Just a thought.

Hi Martyn

It does look like Daenzer, but I haven't been able to find a pottery with that name so it doesn't get me any further.

Thanks

Hazel, your picture has disappeared. Could you pop it back on for us please? Did you ever find more about this piece?
Cheers!

Hi Anne

I still have the vase - I still don't know who made it, so any ideas would be welcome.

Regards

Hazel
