Looks like H Grimm to me, Tony? There was a Heiner Grimm, an artist, born Wunsiedel. See website here:

- I wonder if there's a connection?

The company is actually Retsch & Co. of Wunsiedel (Rudolf Hess is buried there) I think.

. That may help some. I haven't found the exact mark, but three other variants all have an R within some sort of device plus Wunsiedel, Bavaria, as yours does.

Tony, it may not have been Heiner, but Grimm is a common name in that area apparently. Heiner is descended from the brothers Grimm, storytellers, so perhaps there's another H Grimm in the family? It might be worth an email to the site and ask them if they can help - the worst they can do is ignore you.
