Stone Ware Jug
« on: January 17, 2008, 12:09:43 PM »
Have this stone ware jugs that I bought years ago for $5.  I see no marks on it, but I did find one similar on the web, but can't (prove/confirm) the same.

See:  http://carolinaskies.com/potterysold.htm  You need to go all the way the last fifth pic from the bottom, and then here is that pix once you click on it  http://carolinaskies.com/pottery/10150001.JPG

Do they look close/similar.  Any thoughts on age, or maker

It's certainly the same shape - presumably "stacker" means they could be stacked in pyramids using the little flat shoulders. The question is how many companies made this type of jug?
