Belleek china
« on: August 12, 2007, 03:00:24 AM »
My tiny dish here is only about 2" wide but they seem to have made everything from thimbles to huge vases. This dish was given to me for my 21st birthday (1978) but has the second green backstamp which dates it to between 1955 & 1965. The dish seems so thin and fragile that I was scared to handle it at first but it's survived almost 30 years in my care so it must be tougher than it looks!  ;D

Marion Langham has a brilliant site about Belleek pieces and backstamps here:  http://www.ladymarion.co.uk/book/index.htm
Cheers!
