I mentioned this a while back and only just managed to take pics. It's a small coffee table/stool, based on the style used on canal boats. On the boats they are used as a step, a stool and a table - multi-purpose item!
This one was made by my ex, so it's not that old as an object, but it's made from oak wood, which was rescued from a barn which was being demolished. The barn was 17th century and had been built from timbers salvaged from a ship-wreck, so the wood itself was probably felled sometime in the 16th or 17th century. Sadly I don't know which ship, but it was somewhere off the north Lancashire coast.
So even though it's a modern-made table, it's still my oldest wood!
