Coalbrookdale lidded pot

I memorised this mark from a book from years ago even before I started collecting glass (Lyles price guide I think it was). The CD mark stands for Coalbrookdale, A tradename used by Coalport. It's probably a 19th century mark. Badly repaired and chipped, I felt it was a good buy at £2.

Normally i don't buy a lot of things that are damaged, but this being Coalport, and more than 100 years old.... and £2.

Just spotted an item like this in V&A Museum website described as a pastille burner by Coalport
ca. 1825 (made).  :)

It's marked 'Coalport' in underglaze blue where as mine has the CD mark for Coalbrookdale.
