How do you research a pot?
« on: August 31, 2007, 01:12:09 PM »
When i am trying to find out where a pot was made i tend to search through studio Pottery web sites ( it's almost always studio with me) or i describe the pot e.g. "Red Lava" and search through an engine or sometimes ebay.
I have taken pots to fairs so i could ask studio pottery dealers or,if i am realy desparate, I ask You lot!!
How do you do your research?

I also spend hours scouring the net, books are not as useful when there is not a lot to go on in my view, I like lots of pictures!!

But for lots of things, in the end, I just give up...
