Brady & Jordan, Liverpool
« on: April 07, 2008, 05:55:34 PM »
I have a couple of retro vases with the above inscription printed on the base.
They're very cool, but I have no idea about Brady & Jordan.  When I google, I just get 1970s footballers.

Anyone know anything about them?

Thanks.

Never seen one before and never heard of Brady & Jordan, A retailer perhaps?  :o

Limited to 30 do you think? What's the number on the other one?

I was thinking of retailers as well. I wonder if Sue C might know of them - she's a Liverpool lass originally.
Cheers!

Has to be a limited edition mark.  That's all I can think of.

Here's t'other one.  I had to get it out of the loft.  No numbers.

I thought of decorators and retailers, as well as potters.  Can't find anything as yet.  I even thought that Liam Brady and Joe Jordan might have opened an arty-farty boutique together, except they were never on footy teams in the same part of the country :-)

Mebbe need to find a Scouse trading (or phone) directory from the 60s.

Crikey, this *is* a tough one Chris! I've been searching using every parameter I can think of and found nothing helpful. Let me think on it a bit more - I might come up with an idea after some sleep! ;D

I've asked in the genealogy community if anyone's come across a firm with this name in Liverpool - will keep you posted.
Cheers!

That logo looks much more modern than Chris's one. I wonder if they are still around?

Genealogy folks didn't turn up anything either other than a suggestion to check old phone books / trade directories or contact the Liverpool Archives Office.
Cheers!
