It's 5 & half inches high. Yes, German is a wild guess, did the Italians do anything like this?

That seriously thick base rim is very odd. I thought the vase was going to be really tiny! I would go with not German. Maybe from one of the Vallauris potters?

This is definitely Vallauris, possibly by a potter called Rodero.  Afraid I cant tell you more at the moment.
