Duleyvo Avaebo figure of accordianist -
« on: October 16, 2008, 06:36:16 PM »
I found this little figure at a recent fleamarket.
I do not collect this area  but liked the delicate painting and sculpture.
I have found the pottery and approximate date  ?1960's- I think.
Can anyone confirm this and if possible an approximate valuation.
There is a mixture of glazes. The jacket is green lustre.
trousers matt and shoes gloss.
Thank you for looking.

Hi Jean, and Welcome from me too..... :cheerleader: :cheerleader:

Tigerchips a.k.a  :tgs: or TC has pointed you to the perfect direction.

I too could not make out the small print on the site either, BUT I highlighted the image there, then carried it over to Microsoft word, pasted it there.....then used the *zoom image* there to increase the size of the *image* writing to 500%.....

It looks like it says 1958 ->  with an arrow behind it -- then there is a mark after that, but I still can not figure out -- even at 500% zoom.  Looks like a Russian mark of some sort after the arrow....

Hope that helps some.....and Welcome again.

Not sure if that's 1950 or 1960.

Thank you  for the info.
I tried zooming and was no wiser!!
Glad I found this site!

Be Lucky!
Jean
