Plate w/dome glass & pipe cleaner birds...
« on: January 31, 2009, 05:05:44 PM »
Have this large plate, about the size of a regular serving plate but it has a domed glass on it and birds made out of pipe cleaners.

I do not that it has some chinese writing on it ....so many just a Export item from China?

Any ideas?  Still kinda neat...

It's very unusual, are you sure it's glass? I would imagine it would be very difficult to do in glass.

Crumbs I remember seeing these around when I was little. Some of them were glass and some were perspex I seem to recall. The plate was made, then the scene created, then the dome glued on over the top. If you zoom in on the detail pic of Rose's one you can see traces of adhesive round the edge of the dome. No idea where they were made though.
Cheers!
