Hmm, it looks very 1950s/60s, but if that was the case I would expect E. Germany or W. Germany. Is the cane actually made of cane, not plastic?

Can you make out the symbol to the left is it a T and an S and what are the numbers? It could be an early Steuler if the T and S are in a goblet shape, try rubbing a lead pencil over it lightly.
