Here's a plate i bought recently with a date mark...

Judging by the scepter it dates to around 1870-1962.

I wonder if the design symbolizes anything?

No problem, the code numbers might not even exist as the factory was half burnt down during World War 2.

Is it in the Gallery Rose? It looks familiar to me too so I think it's been on before.
Cheers!

TC, is your plate actually marked 'KPM'? I only ask because the blue mark is very similar to some of the marks from the Royal Factory, Berlin.
If you always expect the worst you'll never be disappointed.

I think that's the same factory as the KPM one. It's not marked KPM.

Hi TC <waves>, is this site any use:
http://www.auktion-bergmann.de/Katalog.aspx?a_id=3&s_id=304

Yes, i saw that site thanks, it's where i got the idea about the impressed date codes.

Note: on the older items the mark has a horizontal line running through the middle but on mine it's slanted.

I found the date (1870-1962) from this site...
