This evening's mystery
« on: November 01, 2009, 02:22:26 AM »
Purchased this bowl today for my sister for Christmas. Going to stuff it with nuts and bolts, but in the meantime.

Labled BMP (Blue Mountain Pottery), but I'm not sure. No marks on the bottom at all.

The outside is quite plain with the colour lightening around the top. But inside, is where it gets really interesting (see next post)

Does it appear to change colour depending on the different light?  If so, I wonder what's in the glaze????

Nice piece.  I'm sure your Sis will be delighted with it ;)

Not really Anne. And now it's not going to my sister as we went to a pottery show and found a much better one for my sister. So this one will be a spare (just $20, so it's okay to leave it for a bit). Apparently not all BLUE MOUNTAIN POTTERY was marked, so I am still hopeful. Going to post it on a BMP site and see if they can help.
