Hi - Can't help with the ID, but fat lava refers to the thick textured/bubbly type glaze, and yours look to be smooth.  The three digit number will be the design/pattern number, and the 12 will be the size 12cm.

I'm sure someone will be along soon who will help, but in the meantime this website is a good one to look through with lots of images/attributions, and you might spot yours there - www.ginforsoddititiques.com

I've just bought three W.German pots today and am about to look there.

Yup, Anne said it.  That is what I have learned from this board that the numbers (555)  mean the pattern number and the 12 mean the height in cm, which would be 12 cm in your case.

Always good to add a bit more of a description in your post about your articles, as you (or any one of us) may want to do a search down the road of this item....especially when you do not have a clue what an item is, best to include some colors, or shape -- as we may need to search back to find something to late give it an ID.

That is a Good link that Anne gave you....and if you look here in the German section, you will see several others.

~ Found this link here, it mention a German item marked 555/19 on it (scroll to almost the bottom there) -- and said the marker is Jasba Keramik .

And check around that site that Anne listed for any Jasba keramik there too

I sure there are others that know more than me.... ;)

hi, Thanks Anne, Thanks Rose, I dont think Jasba as the one you have found has the same design/pattern number as mine but is totally different in form, so on that basis it cannot be,  however at least with this info I have now learnt something new, I never understood the numbers on German pottery before now, so thanks for this info much appreciated, Thanks again Robert.
