This box was given to me. It was £5, not sure if it has much value.
There are no marks on it other than a very faint scratched mark of "169 731". Perhaps a registration or repair mark.
I think it's American and dates to around 1900. It's silver plated but most of the plating has warn off. Inside of it i found an old fashioned pin (see photo), they don't make them like that anymore.
