Topic: How do you find out about retired Nao stuff?

I have done a search here, there is no mention (until now) of Lladro /Nao.

  I've got a bit, inherited from mother. I'm pretty sure she had it from about the 70s, but I may be wrong.

I trawled through the official site, ages ago, with no luck finding this particular figurine, which is about 9.5 " tall, of a standing girl with bunches in her hair, and a couple of kittens in her apron skirt, which she is holding up.

I'm interested in finding out, 'cos I will want to sell it.

The prices will NOT be those you can expect on ebay.  I find that Nao usually sells for between 25-35, more for large pieces.  Sometimes you can get better prices at land auctions.

But that's not the website I found. I found something official, and had to trawl through every thing they ever made, not finding it.

  I'm starting to learn that a search done a few months ago is unlikely to be the same as a search done today.

I get different results even on different days!

What was your other website that you found?  Was it the official Nao one? That is a pain to use, all flash, and very slow to load!  Good for current stock, but I prefer Peggy's site.  I have her book on Lladro and it is very interesting and useful.  I presume you have Janet's site bookmarked for retired Lladro?  It has a good search engine for retired pieces. But again, don't take the prices as anything you will ever get....

I've only got this one bit, because mother had it. It's not really my style.

I think it must have been the official site you mention that I found before - I spent hours on it!

I think they are (apart from the official sites for current items - Nao and LLadro do not allow photos of current items to be used on either site, and Janet and Peggy both use official photos rather than their own) the best sites on line for identification.
