ID for this Cuckoo whistle please?
« on: April 23, 2015, 05:42:14 PM »
Hi guys,

Picked up this cute little bird whistle in a job lot at auction ~ the hole in the top makes it two-tone so you can make it sound like a Cuckoo! It's rather Scandinavian in style and the bottom has an impressed mark of two triangles ~ I know I've seen this mark somewhere before but I can't for the life of me remember what it is and would be very grateful for any information about it.

Many thanks in anticipation, John.

Thanks for that, Keith. Although the mark is 2 triangles, it could easily be seen as a stylised W or M ~ the thought had crossed my mind!
