Indian style silver bowl

My mother bought this for £5, but it's damaged though. I'm fairly sure it's silver, there are no hallmarks or anything. It's got Indians dancing around it with flower petals in between. The oddest thing about it is the inner lining, the Indian bowls i've seen don't usually have one, although i did see a Scottish one with that lining, but it was hallmarked. Anyone know anything about these, possible date?

Yes, i've seen quite a few, do you think it might be that old? This one is 5cm diameter, 3cm high.

I honestly don't know TC. I did spot that there is a book which covered old Indian silver (amongst other things) - I wonder if that would help at all?

I've been searching around again and it could be from Burma or Thailand. The older ones aren't marked apparently.

Maybe someone over on 925-1000.com might be able to help, there are very knowledgeable people on there on silver. Or you could a search for Indian silver bowls.

Okay, i got a response, here is the bad news, ha ha...

It's possibly been a cordial/cocktail with a stem attached to the hole, and probably dates around second half of the 20th century.

My mother kind of suspected it like, but anyway, that's what it is.
