Japanese 5 1/8" vase

I have this 5 1/8" tall light blue glazed (celedon) vase with hand painted flowering tree on it. It is signed on the bottom It has a feel of japanese to me but what do i know. Any information is appreciated.

Pretty sure the mark is upside down but that type of script is difficult to read, for me any way, couldn't say if it was Japanese of Chinese, sorry,

As Keith said, the mark is upside down. It appears to read 海東 (literal meaning 'sea' + 'east'). The vase doesn't look Chinese to me so I'd think Japanese is most likely (although I'm sure I've seen Korean pieces in this shape too...)
