Brother Art - Perfume Cabinet
« on: December 21, 2007, 07:56:43 PM »
 :art:

My brother painted this on a bathroom cabinet from a charity shop.

He's as poor as a church mouse, like a lot of artists 'in their lifetime' so he makes me things for birthday and Christmas presents.

It's getting a bit old now but I love it.

xx

Sue, what a talented young man, i love it too, you should drag him around the junk shops and buy little cabinets, paint them sell them, just to tide hime over.
Can we see more of his paintings please?

Talented yes but no so young, in his 50s!

I've encouraged him to do things to sell but even though he could well do with the money he's not particularly commercially minded - and likes to take his time.  He's another one with collectoritis - has a huge collection of old children's books and loads of music on vinyl and tape.

We've talked about ebay and I've offered to do it for him - but we never get round to it!

I do have a couple more of his things to show.

Sue, what a super pressie, I love it!  Pressies like this are so much nicer than bought ones I always feel, as someone's taken the time and trouble to make something for you.  Some of my treasures include things made by my son and some done by my younger brother when he was a child.
Cheers!
