Blue White Underglaze English Oxford Isis
« on: January 10, 2008, 01:15:07 PM »
:new:  Howdie from Georgia!  I have a marking that appears to be contemporary but I have not been able to find it?  A pottie on the ebay board thought it might be K & K out of China but I am not sold on that.  Has anyone seen this marking?

As always, thank you for looking!

I'd say not Chinese at all. This looks like a pottery in Oxford, but I don't know which one.  Have a look through here and see if you can match the initials: http://www.studiopottery.co.uk
Cheers!

Hi Laura, can we see the item itself please - someone might recognise the item or the style. As Anne says, it's obviously from a pottery in Oxford and I'm wondering if the '10-96' mark is a date.

That looks like a Copyright symbol next to it, I know the 'R' symbol was used since the 1950's and onwards...

I had a studio mug by them once, I couldn't find anything about them though.
