Hi, I have this, and unfortunely, the little tip got broke off :-\  I used some powder on the mark.  (is it Jasp.. ?)

There's a similar mark by Adelaide Alsop Robineau in my book but that company was active 1905-28 and the mark is slightly different.

It looks like two R's.  One facing one way, and the other facing the other way....hummmm

Royal, Regal.....maybe Royal Regal or something stupid like that  ( I hope that is NOT a real name of anything, as I just made it up.....)

Rose, what size is your plaque?  I just found a mention on Kovels of jasperware plaques being made in Germany as well. http://www.kovels.com/priceguide/kovels_jasperware/

Thanks Sue, that rings a bell so you probably did. It'll be me forgetting things! (Blame old age and over work!!! :24:)

Were Adams pieces marked do we know? If so, do we have their mark?

I read on Kovels that jasperware was also made in Germany and elsewhere on the continent, so it'd be interesting to know if we can run down some continental makers as well.

It isnt very good i'm afraid, it say's Adams then some blurred numbers and 1657 and the on the other side of the base it say's Tunstall England

Hi, I guess no-one still knows of the mark on the back of the *sailboat* that to me looks like a forward R, and a backwards R in a circle.  Of course, I could be wrong as to *what* this mark looks like to me.... ???
