Did these come with the glass shade/diffuser/wind protector whatever you want to call it or did the person I bought it from put it on just because it fitted?

Tiny pot. 9 cms tall. Has numbers which I think are 3883.  A captial letter A incised into base and there is a symbol but too faint to see exactly what it may be - looks a bit like a rectangular upright box with a` circle on top?
