My Lomonosov turned around chipmunk sculpted by I Y Vorobyev. Any idea how I date him as he's completely unmarked? He does seem to have longer ears then the current model

Love the Chipmunk, I've had a few myself.

Your's is not the same chipmunk as the one in that link though!

I could be wrong but I don't think there's anyway to tell the difference unless it has a mark. I think Leni has a book on Russian animals though.

Feeling a bit poorly  and the rain teeming down, I was just browsing on the internet and remembered this board!  Gosh!  It's a long time since I was here!  

Here's my collection of Lomonosov animals.  (Except one is not, I think one fawn - the one sitting - is Verbilki.)  They all have the USSR mark, either red or black, except the hedgehog on the right, who has the 'Made in Russia' mark in red. 

I only collect 'woodland' animals, so the Alsation will have to go!  He was sold to me as a wolf!

That's a great collection ... what is the black one back left? I can't make it out. I've never seen any of these on my travels.

It's an otter with a fish in its mouth!  I never paid enough attention to size when collecting these, so I've ended up with everything from the miniature rabbit lurking at the back, to this otter, who's 9 inches tall!

He's rather a nice Alsation though. Are you sure he isn't a wolf?

It's an otter with a fish in its mouth!  I never paid enough attention to size when collecting these, so I've ended up with everything from the miniature rabbit lurking at the back, to this otter, who's 9 inches tall!   

.....never even said that little tiny rabbit at the back till you point him out.  He is darling, and the rest are just beautiful too. 

Love the sleek weasels too.
